Fans of the Artichoke Festival are Invited to a Virtual Open Mic Night, “Art Unmasked,” June 5, 2020

The Artichoke Festival may have been postponed to June 2021 due to shelter-in-place restrictions, but there are still exciting ways to interact with each other virtually, and enjoy the talents of local artists, students, and musicians! The Salinas Valley Arts And Innovation Hub, in collaboration with Digital NEST and Artists Ink., are excited to announce a virtual open mic event: “Art Unmasked” on Friday, June 5th 2020, from 7-9pm!

This is a great virtual live art event allowing artists to share their artwork with the community—safely from their homes! “Art Unmasked” came together because the youth of Artists Ink and the students that represent The Salinas Valley Arts and Innovation Hub were forced to cancel/postpone their spring/summer 2020 events. This lead both organizations to join forces and create a virtual event for the community. Artist participation is FREE, and open to anyone, of any age, and any art form! All presentations will be geared toward family-friendly topics. It’s a great way to get a virtual taste of the offerings of our local talent!

The Artichoke Festival is proud to collaborate with the Salinas Valley Arts and Innovation Hub. These talented students and artists will be joining us at next year’s festival with an awesome arts showcase; featuring theater, dance, music, paint, film, graphic design, video games, fashion, and more! Meanwhile, the Arts Hub is planning to collaborate with the Artichoke Festival in upcoming fundraisers and events throughout the months ahead of the festival. We hope you can join them on Friday for a sneak peek of their artistic gifts!

More information, and sign-up for artists and performers is available at: http://artistsink.org/art-unmasked/ Guests can join the live open mic broadcast at 7pm, Friday June 5, on Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, and at twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/salinas_hub
