What is Agro Art?
AGRO ART is a creative competition for all ages that choose to take the challenge to craft a 3-dimensional fruit and vegetable “sculpture”. Each piece is created that day at the festival to the enjoyment and amazement of festival attendees. Over $5000 in cash prizes are at stake!
The AGRO ART competition takes place, Saturday, June 5, 2021 at the Festival. Artists may enter the arena with their supplies at 10:00 AM when the Festival gates open. All parking is in the public area, so competitors should have wagons or carts for their AGRO ART supplies. Entrants may not begin building their sculptures with produce until 10:00 AM.

Area artists, culinary whizzes and school teams are encouraged. Entrants must be at least 5 years old.
No prior experience is required. No Entry Fee.
Competition Categories
Adult – Individual & Team
High school (grades 9-12) – Individual & Team
Middle School (grades 7 & 8) – Individual & Team
Grammar School (grades K-6) – Individual & Team
Each entrant or team will be assigned equal table space. Contestants are responsible for providing their own supplies and produce. (Ocean Mist will provide artichokes and other limited produce selections on a first-come, first-served basis.) Entries limited. Send in your registration today!

- Must pay regular Artichoke Festival entrance fees.
- All competitors must fill out an entry form either in advance or at the entrance to the Competition.
- Spaces are limited: “First come – First Served” basis.
- Only Pre-registered entrants are guaranteed a table until 10:30 AM. After 10:30, hold on spot will be forfeited and given to person on waiting list.
- Each single entrant will be assigned one-half of a working table.
- Each team will be assigned a full working table.
- Sculptures must be constructed during the competition time of no earlier than 10:00 AM and no later then 1:00 PM.
- Entries must be at least 60% fresh product and 10% artichokes.
- Ocean Mist Farms provideds Artichokes and other “art pieces” such as cauliflower, broccoli and head lettuce. All is available on a first come, first served basis.
- Entrants must provide other supplies.
- No flowers may be used. However, it is permissible to use leaves,brush, grasses and other living foliage.
- It is permissible to use wire, wood, glue, tape and plastic to form a base for the sculpture or secure it.
- Judging will begin at 1:00 PM sharp.
- Winners will be announced at 2:00 PM on location.
- All sculptures must remain at the Festival until Sunday when the festival ends.
- All entries not picked up will become the property of the Artichoke Festival.
The competition is open to kids from 5 to 97. Area artists, culinary whizzes and school teams are encouraged. No prior experience is required. Competition will be in the following categories.
